This video walks you through customizing the subject line of faxes received via SMTP.
In RightFax you can customize the subject line of faxes received by the SMTP gateway. You may wish to do this to change the language of the message, or for any other reason.
This output is controlled by a registry key on the RightFax server.
Open the Registry editor on the RightFax server.
Navigate to HKLM\Software\RightFax\Gateway and then select the gateway number that corresponds to your SMTP Gateway.
Finally, add the following REG_SZ key named FaxSubject
And add a data value that includes the subject line you wish to add, along with %s in single quotes. The %s value is required as a place holder for the information received from the sender.
Here are a couple of examples, the first, the default subject line with output in Spanish:
Un fax ha llegado de la identificación alejada '%s'
And a customized subject line in English:
A new purchase order fax has arrived from remote ID ‘%s’
Again notice the '%s' remember, this variable is required.
That's it for customized SMTP fax subject lines in RightFax.
