This video will show you the new configuration available for setting Conversion Bias in RightFax 10.6 Feature Pack 3 and later.
In prior versions of RightFax Conversion Bias options, particularly for PDF/Post Script conversion you had to do a lot of fiddling in the Registry in various keys. With the FP3 update, this functionality has been moved to the RightFax interface.
Open the RightFax Conversion Module service from Enterprise Fax Manager.
Go to the General tab and observe the Conversion Bias pick list.
You will see there are general options for image, text and high contrast optimization. You will also see a check box to select all text as black for PostScript conversion. Pick the best option for outbound conversion that most closely matches the type of fax you typically send. This is a global setting.
The same options are also available from the new fax dialog in RightFax FaxUtil to select on a per fax basis under the More Options tab and the Conversion Bias pick list.
Depending on the specific fax, this option may require some testing to get optimal output.
That is all for optimizing conversion bias on your outbound faxes with RightFax.
