This video will demonstrate the new PDF Document Type feature included in RightFax 10.6.
Prior to RightFax 10.6, if you needed to make adjustments to change the output quality of PDF documents processing for conversion as fax attachments, this had to be done through the addition and configuration of various registry keys on the RightFax server, and this process of trial and error registry hacking could be time consuming and onerous.
RightFax 10.6 has incorporated these items into the FaxUtil interface now as selectable configurations.
Let's take a closer look.
The options are in RightFax FaxUtil under the Fax Information Dialog when you create a new fax. Open the More Options tab and you will see the PDF attachment type pick list.
Text is the default option , however depending on your input document to attach, selecting Photos and Images may be a better choice even if the document is primarily text, especially if there are colored or shaded boxes or fields on your text document or lots or gray scale or other image data that will translate into a lot of shading when the conversion takes place. Last there is the light option which basically takes a PDF that appears to be too dark when faxed and lightens it up somewhat.
Here are some examples of the output as described.
Thats all for PDF document type and conversion quality of PDF documents with RightFax 10.6.
