This video discusses some of the issues you may see when using the RightFax Connect hosted fax service and how to efficiently resolve these items.
We will be focusing on outbound faxing primarily as this is the area where the vast majority of problems occur.
For all RightFax Connect issues we will need a few items for OpenText so that they can expedite your resolution.
First, we will need the email account associated with RightFax Connect service for your company--this will be the email address that was given to OpenText when the service was initiated.
Second for any outbound problems, we need a fax history that is no older than 48 hours, and this needs to be a history record showing your problem call or calls either a screen shot or text grab of the fax history will work.
Now lets get into some of the specific outbound problems you may expect to see.
The main issue that administrators see is that fax calls will be blocked from sending to a recipient based on "Do Not Call" registry enrollment by the recipient. This will in the fax history.
In order to resolve this, you will need to submit a form to OpenText to request the numbers be unblocked The Fax Guys can provide you with the form.
The other main issue you will see is transmission errors, and these can be resolved by rerouting the calls at the RightFax Connect Data Center to a more tolerant circuit.
These 2 items comprise everything you will see in outbound faxing issues with RightFax Connect that are not one-off failures or an interruption in service. You may see other types of issues, but again the blocked calls and transmission errors will be the main problems you will see on a regular basis.
