Hello welcome to the RightFax University Crash Course.

This video will show you where you can specify a different Windows Temp Directory for RightFax to use.

By default, RightFax is configured to use C:WindowsTEMP for the RFWork Printers and other workserver functions, such as conversions.

You may want to change the location of this folder if, for example, antivirus scanning of the folder is preventing conversion of documents.

To change the location of the temporary folder used by RightFax, complete the following steps on the RightFax computer:

Stop all RightFax WorkServers.

Delete all RFWork Printers if any exist.

Open the Windows Registry Editor.

Under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, browse to the appropriate subkey for your operating system version:

32-bit Windows HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWARERightFax
64-bit Windows HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREWow6432NodeRightFax

find the TEMP key

Modify the TEMP key and change the data for the Value Data to the location you choose. If the location does not already exist, create the folder before restarting the workserver services in RightFax.

Exit the Registry Editor and restart your RightFax computer.

The temporary directory location you have specified should now be used for RightFax instead of the default C:WindowsTEMP.

That's it for changing your temp file location for RightFax.
