This video Shows you where to adjust the time-out values for the WebAdmin client web page for RightFax 16.x.
In RightFax 16.x the time-out value for the WebAdmin client is now fully configured in Internet Information Services. With the default timeout being 10 seconds, this may need to be adjusted for administrators who may need to keep the client open and running for longer without interaction.
Let's take a look at the control.
First on the IIS server hosting the RightFax web apps, open the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager. Under Sites, open the RightFax site. Next, open Session State. Under the Session State Mode Settings, Choose the State Server radio button, and then adjust the value for the Time-out in seconds. Per OpenText, this value can be extended up to 30 minutes, or 1800 seconds. Note that there is no current supported capability to fully disable the time-out.
This should take care of the time-out. Make sure to verify the correct permissions options are configured for your WebAdmin-based administrators--not only the standard permissions, but also make note of the selectable option "Can Manage Services in WebAdmin" as this is deselected by default; you may wish to leave this as-is if you need an administrator to monitor the server without the ability for making changes to service functionality. For more detailed information regarding specific permissions, take a look at the RightFax Administrator's Guide, or check back with us for future installations on the RightFax University page covering this topic.
That's it for adjusting the time-out value for the WebAdmin site with RightFax 16.x.
