This video will show you how to enable audit logging on your RightFax DocTransport Module.

Board Audit Logging can be used for tracking all incoming and outgoing calls from a DocTransport, this can be quite useful for troubleshooting purposes.

First, Open Enterprise Fax Manager and stop DocTransport Module.
Next, Open the DocTransport Configuration Window by double clicking the DocTransport service.

On the left hand side of the DocTransport Configuration window, click on Global Transport Settings.

On the right side there will be a check box called "Allow Auditing", check the box to enable Board Audit Logging.

Board Audit Logging has different levels of information that it will write to a file.

Level 1 prints a single line summary of each fax event.

Level 2 prints a detailed description of each fax event.

Level 3 outputs a comma-delimited file.

Each fax event will be saved to a comma-delimited file. Each log entry appears on a separate line and includes 15 data fields. Make sure that a file name and log path are specified in the File box.

Level 4 outputs a tab-delimited file.
A new file is created each hour containing that hour’s fax events. Because a separate file is created for each hour’s fax events, do not specify a file name in the File box. You can specify a path to a folder where the log files, which are given default names, will be saved.

Level 5 is primarily for troubleshooting purposes, and outputs Brooktrout debugging information.

We would typically recommend level 3 or 4 for troubleshooting but 5 may be required in some instances.

That's it for audit logging the RightFax Doctransport.
