This video will walk you through configuring the maximum number of pages settings for your RightFax server.

In RightFax, when you attempt to send a fax with the number of pages exceeding the specified "Max Number of Pages" setting in the Brooktrout Call Parameters, a transmission error appears, and transmission of the fax is unsuccessful. The normal setting for "Max Number of Pages" is 30 within the Brooktrout Call Parameters settings. With this default setting, any fax you try to send over 30 pages will fail.

Let's go over the process to reconfigure the server to handle the maximum number of pages.

First, stop the RightFax DocTransport module service and then open the service configuration. Select your fax board from the tree view in the left-hand pane.

Click the Configure Brooktrout button, and when the configuration applet opens, select Advanced Mode.

In the left-hand pane here, select BT Call Parameters. Then the Show Advanced tab.

Scroll down until you see the option labelled Max Number of Pages.
Change the value here from 30 to 1024, which is the maximum number of pages you can send in 1 fax.

Click Save to apply the change, and then Apply to reset this setting in your current configuration file.

Close the Brooktrout configuration tool. Ok on the Doctransport configuration service window, and restart the RightFax DocTransport Module service.

Test with a larger fax to confirm that the issue is resolved, and that's it. You can now send faxes over 30 pages with RightFax without errors.
