This video discusses using Windows GDI printing with RightFax.

Hello my name is Jay Campbell with The Fax Guys for RightFax University.

This video discusses using Windows GDI printing with RightFax.

This video was recorded at 1280 by 720 resolution for High Definition and is best viewed in full screen mode.

The Graphics Device Interface or GDI, is a Microsoft Windows application programming interface and core operating system component responsible for representing graphical objects and transmitting them to output devices such as monitors and printers.

With the Windows GDI printer you can use any locally installed print driver on the fax server as a print driver for printers in EFM.

Open the Printers object in EFM and create a new printer by choosing Edit > New. In the Edit Network Printer dialog enter all appropriate information but ensure you choose "Windows GDI" for the Printer Type field and enter the name of the printer on the fax server that is configured with the print driver you wish to use.

If you need assistance configuring a Windows GDI printer for use with RightFax, or if you have any other questions regarding the world of faxing, get in touch with The Fax Guys, we are always happy to help.
