This video will show you where you can configure your RightFax SMTP Gateway to use TLS/SSL encryption.
Please note that this requires that your SMTP server is also set up to use TLS/SSL encryption.
On your RightFax Server, open the Windows Control Panel and then select the item for RightFax E-mail Gateway, this will open the Email Gateway Configuration applet.
Click the “Add Gateway” button and then select SMTP/POP3.
If necessary, configure your “E-mail delivery direction”. For this video, we’ll select “inbound only” for our SMTP Gateway.
Click on the SMTP tab and add your SMTP server’s name or IP address. Notice the “port” and “Encryption type” options below this. Let’s change the port to 465 and then click in the “Encryption type” drop-down and set it to “TLS/SSL”.
If your server requires authentication, remember to check the box for this and then enter the necessary credentials to authenticate. Click “ok” when you’re finished.
That’s it. You have now configured your RightFax SMTP Gateway to use TLS/SSL encryption.
